The fortune enchantment is not working on diamonds

My friend and I are playing the Xbox beta 1.16 and we notice our fortune 3 pickaxe doesn’t work when we mine diamonds. Example of this is when I mine four diamonds ore with my fortune pickaxe. It only gives me four back but no more than that
