I don't have monster spawn as much as I did I 0.7.6

When I go out to look for monsters I don't get as much of a spawn when I was in 0.7.6 they spawned like crazy now they barrally spawn I don't know how to reproduce the bug all I know is that it dosent spawn as much as they used to
