Overkill trophy not activating

Overkill trophy requires to deal 9 hearts of damage in a single hit. I have done this several times on various mobs, animals and players. But I still don't unlock the trophy. All the requirements to unlock the trophy have been acquired. I can't get the trophy to unlock.
