Purchased mods not working

I bought the "Epic Caves" mod for my son on the ps4 yesterday.  We played for a bit and it worked fine.  The next day we log back on the world and all the modded stuff was gone, items, mobs, etc.  I tried starting a new game with the mod, which does show up as purchased, and it won't let me.
