Beds just don’t blow up when it comes to the nether

When you sleep in a bed next to a nether portal right before you go into the nether you get taken to a different place than usual. You get taken to the same cords as the overworld. It is really weird and I don’t think it needs to be fixed just thought you should know and I want to know if it was intentional. (I made a video on it just go to
