Minecraft keeps crashing

While I'm playing Minecraft the game will randomly lag out and crash, I thought it was my texture pack at first but the problem persisted after I deactivated the pack, I've even restarted me system multiple times but to no avail. I asked around it is also happening to some of my friends on Xbox so I'm not sure what's going on.
