Nether Wood Will Not Craft Sticks, Crafting Tables, etc.

Testing this out with both Crimson Planks and Warped planks, they are not able to craft normal things like sticks, crafting tables, chests, and other such wood-related items (besides the wood-specific items relating only to them). This is mostly a parity issue, but would be much appreciated if it were fixed, because making a crafting table on the spot (especially in the nether) is very useful.
