Villagers can open iron doors

Villagers opening iron doors. I noticed it while playing survival. I wanted to protect them and I isolated them with an iron door. My bed was on the other side of the door. I turned around and saw the door opened. I did use a pressure plate, but it deactivated. I repowered the door and it returned to normal.
