Firework Stars spawned in with cheats crash the game when combined with dyes

When using fireworks stars that are cheated in through commands (/give [name] fireworkscharge), putting them into a crafting grid together with a dye causes the game to crash.  This only happens if the fireworks star does not have a color. I know that this also happens on the Xbox One as well.
