Villager will not link to a job and bed

I got rid of every bed in the village to try and link it to a new bad but that didn't work another thing was with there jobs I got rid of the villagers current job and placed down a compost to change its profession but it never worked so I tried to delete every work space in the hole village but nothing worked it just stayed jobless.
