Dye Signs Do Not Work

I am not able to color/dye signs in survival mode, when i right click, with my dye, on a written sign.

I am playing on a realm.

I have tried a few dyes red, white and green, does not work.

Does not work on Nintendo Switch or PC-Windows 10
