Multiplayer Block 0.8.0 released version

When I am playing multiplayer with a friend. Every block the client, not the host, tries to place automatically reverts back into stone. And 0.8.0 build 8 was the closest i could get. This happened on the official 0.8.0 release.

What I expected
Having the client place every block that he/she has selected to place. Actually place down.

What actually happened was...:
The block placed turns into stone. No matter what.

Steps to Reproduce:
I used a. iPad mini and a iPhone 4S version iOS 7.4 for both
1. Join a Local multiplayer server
2. Try to place a block
3. And there you have it. Stone blocks. For every block you attempt to place.
