Minecarts push you under ice

I have a big creative world and I made a minecart track from my house to a ice island. When the tracks ended I was pused a few blocks onto the ice. I pressed jump to get out but instead of just jumping onto the ice, it pushed me under the ice.
To recreate:
Take a minecart on the ice
Press jump to get out
You will now be under the ice
