When I try to use the virtual joystick I mine/attack instead

Sometimes when I press any button on the virtual joystick (e.g. forward, right, sneak), the command will go "through" the joystick and instead initiate a "use" action. Example attacking or mining. See attachment.

Basically, when I press to move forward the game ignores the DPAD and mines or attacks the block behind it.

Update: also happens if split controls are enabled. If split controls are enabled then it will simply attack/mine in the center of the cursor.
