Unable to update any item I downloaded from the Marketplace

I know, no need to tell me. Thing is, no issue I found on this matter has been clear enough and has been pretty much flagged as incomplete or simply ignored. I wish to detail it just a bit better. (Don't get me wrong though, my guess for what could cause this is as good as everyone else's)

Description
On the Switch, if I try to update my Marketplace items (resourcepacks, skins, worlds, mash-ups, pretty much all of them) by pressing on the Update button, nothing will happen.

Expected Outcome
Upon pressing A while the Update button is highlighted, the update will initialise and the game will download the extra data for the pack.

Actual outcome
I press A while the button is highlighted and... nothing happens. No matter how many times I repeat, nothing happens, as shown in the video attached.

Reproduction

1. Go to the page of a Marketplace item that needs to be updated
2. Navigate to the Update button
3. Press down on A
