I have not been able to update worlds and texture packs on my device. When I click on the blue update button nothing happens.

I'm not sure what the answers are to some of the questions this site was asking for so some of what I entered may be incorrect. But I am using a Note 8 to play Minecraft PE. Both my phone and the game are up to date. I noticed that I am unable to update any of the worlds or texture packs that show needing to be updated. I click on the blue icon that says update, but nothing happens. I have had this issue for quite some time, but figured that the next update to the game would resolve this issue, but has not.
