Game crashes on iOS the instant you try to start it

The moment you tap the Minecraft icon, it brings up the Mojang screen and then immediately crashes back out to the iOS home screen. No messages or logs I can find. I have a video of me trying to start it three times in quick succession that I will attach. Things I have already tried with no success:

• Deleting and reinstalling the app
• Resetting network settings
• Switching DNS to manual with a server IP of 8.8.8.8
• Turning off WiFi
• Turning off Cellular Data and Bluetooth for good measure
• Airplane mode
• Getting a new phone - This problem started months ago when I had an iPhone 7 Plus. I got an iPhone X for Christmas, the old phone was given to someone else in my family, and Minecraft works on it for them. My new phone still will not run Minecraft.
