Skins being weird with 2+ players

When more than 1 player hase a custom skin in a world the it will look like you have the other person his skin but on his screen you still have your skin this is very annoying for role play. It's even worse with 3+ people then all the skins get scattered around all the players in the game I played minecraft for years and it's been happening for quit some time now pls fix this
