Experience orbs sink in water

Summary:
When mobs are killed in deep water, mob drops (meat, feathers, wool, etc.) float to surface, but experience orbs sink unless the player is within six block range. This is not true on Java Edition.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Spawn mobs in ocean
2. Shoot mobs with bow to maintain distance more than six blocks

Observed Results:
The experience orbs sink.

Expected Results:
The experience orbs should float up to the surface.
