Bow Glitch and 1 second block breaking delay

When shooting bows in survival you have to hold onto a nearby block to shoot,and in creative multiplayer bow turns into random objects on the other players screen.When breaking blocks there is a second delay in between which is frustrating and bows always look pre-drawn. Mojang please fix this issue.
