Minecraft Block Glitch

I can't collect blocks after destroying them. Blocks simply disappear and don't drop anything, so I can't go mining for materials, trees, or anything else along those lines. Also, my sugar cane farm still won't grow after replanting. It has always worked fine until the latest 1.14.30 update.
