Add-Ons Outputting Multiple Items Delete Extra Items

If an add-on has custom crafting recipes, and a recipe outputs more than one item, any extra items get deleted. Using the cake recipe from the vanilla game as an example, the milk buckets would get used, but the empty buckets don't come back.
