Russian Language in chat creating random Unicode symbols

Recently when i updated to 1.14.20 I started a world, my friend joined (i had my mic broken atm so i used chat) and when i started typing Привет (which is 'Hello' in English) the chat said:
C%#H8). And i do not see a fix for that in 1.14.30 patch notes, so i would like this to be adressed
