All the bees are gone from the world

In a shared realm with one other player who plays very rarely. I had one beehive with one bee. The bee randomly disappeared so I went to find more. There are 3 flower fields usually with loads of bees nearby. They're all gone. I've now been searching for over 6 hours all over the place, fields, flower fields, forests, everywhere. I mapped this whole region so I know there used to be bee nests all over the place and they're all gone. I know my friend would not have destroyed them, she hardly leaves her house area anyway, I've mapped half the world so I know where everything is. Or used to be. I'm currently standing in the 5th flower field I've searched today and no sign of a single bee. Where have they all gone??
