Game stops working when unlocking the device after it sleeps

I paused my game and either 1) turned off the screen or 2) let the screen go to sleep.

What I expected to happen was...:
When I wake the device, the game would resume normally.

What actually happened was...:
Instead, the game gave me a white screen. Going to the recents view and re-entering the game would have it load infinitely.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the game.
2. Let your device go to sleep.
3. Unlock the device.

I could not reproduce this bug all the time, but it happens enough to notice it.
