Locked axis block placement results in wrong orientation

The bug

In bedrock edition, blocks can only be placed in a straight line when holding right-click, moving the crosshair elsewhere will result in nothing happening (~~MCPE-30610~~).

Blocks placed in this way that orient themselves based on the clicked face, such as logs, end up facing the wrong way.
