Inventory disappears randomly

I had an few instances where I was away from my tablet on MCPE and came back a few minutes later and all my inventory was gone. I've lost some pretty good stuff, enchanted bows and Rods at first I thought maybe a creeper killed me but there was no damage and each time it has done it I was in a structure away from hostile mobs. Its done it at least 3 times. May be in connection with day/night cycle but have nothing to back that up but it seems It was overnight.
