Can't sign into Xbox live

When I try to sign into Xbox live it signs me into an account called "Steve" which is not my account name. Then when I click on any other button my game freezes. If I sign in any other way my game will freeze right away. Please help I have a realm with some of my friends and I can't play until it works.
