Slimes not spawning.

Ever since updating to version 1.14 my cleared out slime area has stopped spawning slimes, I loaded an X-ray pack just to check for other mobs in any caves near by and there are none. Before the update I was getting slimes there frequently, now I get nothing even after spending hours In the general area.
