code connection does not work

Just bought minecraft  for windows 10 from the microsoft store today to play with makecode with my kids.

But code connection does not seem to work. When i paste the connection command in minecraft it says "connected" but the code connection app does not pop up a new window as the guide says it should. And if i try to use any of the guides on https://minecraft.makecode.com

nothing happens.

minecraft version 1.14.1

code connection version 1.50

ps. Created a new world with cheats enabled.

 

I will be so happy if you can tell me how to fix this.
