Turtles won’t breed

I keep breeding turtles but they just won’t lay any eggs. I’ve bred 10 pairs of turtles and they’ve all just swam around in circles I’m using pocket edition and it’s quiet frustrating to see this issue recently on other platforms and still no fix. Please please help.
