Microsoft account will not stay logged in on Switch

I recently purchased Minecraft for the Switch. I am able to log into my Microsoft account successfully. However, I have to log in each time I start the game. Isn't it supposed to stay logged in until I log out? Having to log in every time is very inconvenient and annoying. Please fix this!
