I drove a farmer from a far village to my newly built farm. The villager was an active farmer in the old village - with a Bed and workstation but with no trade progress. I traded with him to establish him as a farmer. Arrived In my farm, this farmer became a fletcher (who was traded with).

No matter whether the farm is in a radius of a village (my village radius is - thanks to the broken mechanics - over demensionally) and no matter whether there are free workplaces that shouldn't happen.
