Unable to map left and right joystick buttons on MCBE on an iphone, as well as the two middle buttons all on a xbox controller

Whenever I try to map the left or right joystick buttons (pressing down on the joystick to get that click button) the game doesn't seem to read it. This also happens to the three-line button and the double window button. These bugs seem to be on Xbox controllers but may happen to other controllers I just don't know. If we could get this fixed that would be really helpful. I am playing on iOS 13.3 on a iphone 7.
