See through character when holding glass

I was on a realm building a glass structure when I went into 3rd person. I noticed that my character had a missing segment when you look through a glass block. I investigated further and I found that other glass blocks of the stained glass variant and the glass panes had the same effect. This is a minor issue but still, it trips me up.
