Purchases not restored after linking to account

I’ve purchased a few items in Minecraft over the last month. Today I decided to create and link my profile to a new account. After signing in with my new account my previous purchases and coins do appear on my profile. I then exit the game, kill the app and then launch the game again. Now I am signed into my account, but my purchases and coins are gone.
