Barrel texture stays open after being pushed by a piston

The bug

If a barrel is being accessed and is pushed by a piston, the player is kicked out of the interface. However, the barrel still keeps its "open" texture, and will remain that way until opened and closed manually again.

How to reproduce

1. Create this setup

2. Fly above the pressure plate in creative mode
3. Stop flying, then quickly open the barrel so you land on the pressure plate while accessing it
4. Result:
