Cant Open Xbox Menu When In Minecraft

I'm on the Xbox one and whenever I try to open the Xbox menu, it does not open. Then after about 30 seconds, it pops up an error message recommending to restart the Xbox.  This only happens when I am in Minecraft, not other apps or games. The only way I can fix it is by restarting my Xbox.
