Wolf and Cat left; cannot feed animals; My world is falling apart :(

I was playing on my minecraft world using the 2016 winter festive mash up pack by mojang/minecraft. Then all of the suddent I was floating for a minute and was also underwater (the bubbles appeared but I didn't drown.) That part went away after the most recent update, then my wolf and cat (both named) were outside and I could not interact with either of them. I also cannot feed my sheep, although they will follow me if I have wheat out. What is happening to my beloved world
