Trouble Loading Custom Characters

Ever since I downloaded Minecraft Earth, my main Minecraft game on my Nintendo Switch never seems to load the custom characters I've created. They load just fine on Earth, but I always have messages load up on my main game that say that my characters failed to load. I've had to remake the same characters multiple times now.
