Minecraft will not launch

When I launch Minecraft, this error comes up:

Fail to download file.

Name: 1.14.4.jar

Error details: Could not resolve: launcher.mojang.com (Could not contact DNS servers)

Also this was on Java edition, not Windows 10. Don't know why there didn't seem to be an option for that.
