Can't invite friends onto PS4 server

When playing the newest version of Minecraft on the newest update for PS4, on any world (transferred or new), I am unable to invite a player from Windows 10 version into my world. They are logged in and able to invite me into worlds that they create. I looked up online and was unsure if I was encountering a bug, or if it was not possible to cross-play with PC on purpose while hosting the world on the PS4.

I am able to find the find in my friends list both online and offline, however, they state that they are unable to see me marked as online ever. Even when I join the world they created and invited me to.
