Pistons And Slimeblocks And Honeyblocks

If you place two pistons directly next to each other one connected to a honey block and one to a slime block and levers at the back of each one, they wont extend. Also, if I place one piston and a slime/honey block if I extend it grass breaks below the slime/honey block is that just due to the "sticky" property of the block
