I can't connect my PS4 and Microsoft accounts

So I can't connect my PS4 and Microsoft accounts together and when I try to clear "Account Sign in Data" it doesn't work either.
When I first tried to I didn't have a Microsoft account so I had to make one and now I don't get the code I need to input to connect them.
I tried reinstalling the game and no luck there either.
Also if this is important it's a disc version of Minecraft for the PS4.
When I try to sign in it just gives a message: "We tried to log in to your Microsoft Account, but something went wrong.
