Glitches out my world upon entry and becomes useless

Yeah When I enter my world it doesn’t show anything except the HUD, I was in the nether and I saved and quit and when I came back to the world to play again it spawns me in the nether and I can’t do anything, I can’t mine, I can’t die, and I can’t even press the pause button. Everything simply just stops working! I don’t want to lose my world and I have tried restarting my phone and refreshing the app but it’s no use. I am currently running Minecraft on my iPhone 11. This happened to me after I updated the app to the latest version which is 1.13.
