an item was stuck in my inventory(not curse)

took a bell from a village and place it at my spawn place. then I proceed to break the bell and put it in my inventory because I wanted to move it to other places. but since then the bell was stuck in my inventory. I can't even switch it from it's position. i can't put it in my hot bar i can't dispose it it's just there. please help me solve this as it consumed a space in my inventory. thanks
