Flying machines don’t work

If you build a flying machine in Xbox one edition it will not function the way it’s meant to. The way it should is “ when you activate the machine it will fly in the opposite direction to the way you activated it but it does that for a few blocks before flying the wrong way and constantly flying in a patten
