3rd person unable to place blocks where desired

When placing objects and blocks in 3rd person they do not rez in desired space. They are automatically placed diagonally or on top of previously placed blocks as opposed to the spaces I highlight and select. This has been an issue since the 1.13.0 update on both of my android and ios devices.
