Creepers don't leave crater after explosion

*What I expected to happen was the creeper that exploded would leave a crater.

*What actually happened was it didn't leave an explosion and I took no damage either

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Approach a creeper
2. Let it explode
3. You will see the creeper make no splash or You may possibly find that it takes no hearts off you
