Game freezes when fighting ender dragon

Im playing Minecraft on my switch and I find the end portal so I then fight the ender dragon. When it shoots a poison/toxic ball at me it freezes my game. I don’t understand why and I need it to be fixed or else I won’t be able to beat it.
